Mavi Dance offers classes for children, teenagers, and adults. These classes are conducted in both Turkish and English.
We are now dedicating our energy entirely to children’s dances in our classes! 🌟 While learning specially designed group choreographies, our students have fun and discover the fundamentals of dance. They experience the thrill of showcasing their year-long hard work at the most vibrant festivals and events. A season full of dance awaits us!
Adult classes focus deeply on technical training and all students have the opportunity to learn the ensemble's repertoire. Group members participate in selected events and productions.

Mavi Dance was founded in 2002 in Boston, USA, by Dr. Hale Pınar Zengingönül. Quickly making its voice heard, our group has been awarded by the Massachusetts State Arts Commission for its modernized world dances choreography.
Following numerous festival experiences in the US, the group started its Turkey formation in the Fall of 2012; bringing a wide repertoire blending Turkish, Georgian, Russian, Balkan, and American folk dance motifs to art lovers.

Active footwork and playful interaction between the pair successfully reflect the regional style.
Based on folk dance music from Georgia's Adjara region, Gandagana blends complex footwork with fluid arm movements.
A noble lyric dance choreography based on a Laz folk melody.
A modern interpretation of Middle Eastern belly dance.
A contemporary solo dance symbolizing the movements of a spider.
Built on a 6/4 rhythm, this dance uses traditional steps from Georgia's mountainous Svaneti region. Fast and sharp steps including the unique toe dance.
An authentic fusion of hip hop and Georgian dance styles. Footwork mainly belongs to Georgia's Racha region.
A brilliant collection of ethnic diversity from extreme mountainous regions, offering a vivid combination of technical skill and bold charisma.
A dance depicting the elegant movements of a gazelle onto authentic Caucasian dance melodies.
A dance telling a scene from Mavi's technical practice routines.
A classic Azerbaijani Folk Dance piece based on intricate Caucasian dance movements.
Designed upon Tarantella Napoletana music, this piece reflects the sheer joy of Italian dance.

Born in Antalya, Hale Pınar began her dance journey at age 4. She earned the Massachusetts Arts Council award for her modernized world dance choreography.
Georgian-born Shanidze is the principal soloist of the Georgian National Dance Studio. He has won Grand Prix and numerous international awards.
Ankara-born Nurşin has been an indispensable member of Mavi Dance since 2002 and also lends her costume-making talents to every performance.
From the Laz tradition, Çorbacı has been immersed in Black Sea dances since age 7 and is a national champion of the Ministry of Culture competition.
